A Decade of Song is just what you'd expect of a multiplatinum seller's greatest-hits package, but it's also more. Displaying a generosity toward her fans, Dion cherry picks nine signature singles ("My Heart Will Go On," "Because You Loved Me," "Beauty and the Beast"), then fills the rest of the CD with seven new cuts when one or two would have done the commercial trick. Most of these are just what admirers and detractors would expect, and Sinatra lovers will hope that All the Way's title track is the last time his family allows an invented Frank-and-random-celebrity duet to take place. But the textures of "I Want You to Need Me" and "Live," while hardly understated, are more measured. They give hope that Dion may yet take herself to a higher artistic plateau, while still pleasing her millions of listeners. --Rickey Wright

A Decade of Great Songs
Featuring several songs by my favorite producer-arranger David Foster including a channeled duet with Frank Sinatra "All the Way" since it was one of her husband's favorites. Foster sure knows about duets from beyond the grave having produced Natalie and Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" and Kenny G and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".

Uninspired Pop Corn Music
Celine Dion is probably the worse of the modern "divas", she screeches through most of these songs like she is a screaming siren, nothing but claptrap and ear piercing excess from a has been of the music industry...NOS

Bought this cd for a girlfriend years ago.

Her best songs of her career
This CD has been out for several years now. This is a collection of what will prove to be her best songs ever.
Celine has always had a great voice. At this time she was singing wonderful songs that were well written. She had the best writers in the business and her songs showed it.
The Power of Love, Beauty and the Beast, Because you Loved Me, My Heart will go on, amongst others are included here.
To me the best song on this CD is her duet with the late Frank Sinatra
With today's technology she mixed her voice with "Ole Blue Eyes" and really out did herself.
This CD is loaded with classics.............

Buyers beware before purchasing this CD. Whatever obscure format this CD was created in or whatver 5.1 means, this CD will not play on any of our CD equipment. Even in the CD player in our new Acura. Perhaps it was created in Canada or somewhere. Nevertheless, something about it is incompatible with current CD equipment.
