It is hard to use at first but you get used to it.
Lots of fun. I am glad I purchased this.
The small tablet's active area (drawing space) is about the size of an index card.
I am really happy I bought the medium tablet. Drawing space is just right. Rating: Date: 2008-05-26 Great Tablet I've been using this tablet for a couple of months now for photoediting and illustrations. I love it. It was super easy to install and use. The pen is comfortable and responds well. I like the fact that it feels like I'm really drawing on paper when I use it. The mouse is comfortable and responds nice also. This little tablet has gotten a lot of use from me and I expect it will get much more.
I would definately recommend this product! Rating: Date: 2008-05-14 WACOM - Still The Best Tablet Out There WACOM does it again and again. They make the best drawing tablets out there on the market. If I had one complaint is the lack of competition to help keep prices down. That said the tablet is still worth every penny. I have used other brands of drawing tablets but the WACOM products always perform the best. The Bamboo is no exception. If you are a graphics professional you will find the Bamboo a worthwhile investment.
So far the tablet works great with Windows Vista which includes a raft of new handwriting and 'pen flick' applications to make the pen the only input device you need. In fact it does a really good job reading a nd translating your handwriting to text. Don't waste your time with a high DPI laser mouse, it will not compare to a drawing tablet. I find that 9 x 6 is the largest practical size for drawing. Unless you are comfortable making huge tiring gestures you really do not need too much real estate in a tablet to work in fine detail. Rating: Date: 2008-04-30 Very Happy Since this is my first tablet I can't compare it to other similar products. In my business I have recently been doing more and more graphic design and artwork. This tablet has really simplified the work process. It takes a little getting use to but overall I am able to perform detailed tasks in a much more efficient manner.
I also really like the mouse, it's very efficient and comfortable. I think in the future I may upgrade to a larger size since I am constantly finding myself to be at the edge of the tablet. Rating: Date: 2008-04-28 Amazing product for artists. I have been looking at tablets for a few years-I'm an artist and I have always been curious about what can be done with this technology. So this year I decided to splurge and buy one that wasn't too expensive, but had a good name attached to it and the Bamboo by Wacom met both of those criteria.
Super easy to install and use right out of the box. I have found this device to be a wonderful addition to my studio and I am enjoying it's versatility a great deal. The pen is easy to use as is the mouse. I'm glad I bought it! I recommend this to anyone that is interested in what a tablet can do for them--I purchased the black medium tablet.
Good luck you won't be sorry!! |
