Product Description:

An adult female flea can lay up to 2,000 eggs in her lifetime. With CAPSTARÖ by NOVARTIS, almost all your dog's or cat's adult fleas will be gone within four hours. How to Use A single dose of Capstar (nitenpyram) should kill the adult fleas on your pet. If your pet gets reinfested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day. To administer CAPSTAR tablets, place the pill directly in your pet's mouth, or hide it in food. If you choose to hide the tablet in food, watch closely to make sure your pet swallows the pill. If you are not sure that your pet swallowed the pill, it is safe to administer a second pill. We recommend you follow up CAPSTAR treatment with a monthly flea control product such as PROGRAM, Frontline or Advantage. Then keep CAPSTAR on hand for the times when there is a visible flea re-infestation.

Flea infestation
After attempting to fight flea infestation for the past 6 months, with constant scratching & fleas jumping all over the house, I used this product on my dogs. In a few hours, the dogs were scratching less. I was able to sit on the furniture without feeling fleas hopping on myself. Approximately 24 hrs later, I observed the dogs hardly scratching at all. The product is most effective when followed up with a topical treatment such as Frontline, so the dogs are flea free for the month.

One bonus to this product is that you can administer another tablet at another time if the flea infestation reappears.

After using countless sprays, powders and just topical treatments, I found the Capstar was most effective with fighting flea infestation.

This product worked wonderfully. My cat is a indoor long hair tabby and I haven't found a flea on her since giving her this medication. Its safe and non-toxic. Also the customer service from this seller is phenomenal. I had it two days after I placed the order!

Capstar Blue
This is a very good product for granting your dog temporary relief from fleas. For total flea control, you do have to either give the product every day or combine it with another flea care product--my vet recommends Sentinel, but it works well for the 24 hours that it advertises.

Best flea product
My mom's dog has a flea allergy. She wouldn't let the dog go outside due to when she did any flea or mosquito bite would turn into a horrible hot spot. The poor dog never got to go outside and be a dog until the vet told my mom to try Capstar. She uses Revolution monthly and it would kill the fleas but they had to bite her first. Capstar seems to repell fleas. I have now started taking my dog and my mom's to the dog park and no fleas!!! Amazing! The only downside is they are expensive and you have to take one every day but we only give it to her when we know she's going outside for a walk. This has been the only thing to keep her 100% flea free. Now my dog doesn't have the flea allergy and just the Revolution works fine for him but it's good to know if we do ever get an infestation I can use this product as well. Very safe

Capstar Good Product, Expiration date not good
I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I ordered a pack of 6 on April 4, 2008. I got the product quickly. I felt taken advantage of when I saw the expiration date is May 2008. I did not have plans on using all 6 tablets by May.
