Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-24 Love the charger My computer is jammed with chargers for a cell phone, a Blackberry, a calculator...the last thing I needed was ANOTHER USB charger for my iPod.
What I like about this charger are two things: first that it is for a wall outlet, and, second, that the length of the cord is such that I don't have to put the iPod on the floor (as I have had problems with other technology). It is long enough to reach my bureau or desk and does its job well.
I have not used it too many times since I purchased it, so I am curious as to how it will fare in the long term. One thing to note is that the prongs do not collapse into the charger unit, so it does not store "flat." Be aware if your primary use will be because of travel. Otherwise, I love what I have so far! Hopefully it will continue to perform so well! Rating: Date: 2008-06-23 My new toy This is just what I needed and expected it to do for me.
Tom Rating: Date: 2008-06-19 Inexpensive and Effective This charger is fantastic! It's hard to believe it is so inexpensive. My ipod charges up in about an hour or two, which is a lot faster than when I plug it into the hard drive. Rating: Date: 2008-06-09 This charger destroyed my Ipod After reading numerous reviews on this charger, I decided to give it a try. After the second time using it to charge My recently purchased, refurbished Ipod Click wheel, 3rd gen, I received an Error message. I called Apple and and based on the error message they determined the battery was not accepting a charge. The first thing they asked me after determining it was the battery, was, what kind of charger was I using. They told me that these chargers are known to damage the charging circuitry on the Ipod. After being repaired by Apple, and purchasing a brand name charger, I havc had no further problems. Rating: Date: 2008-06-06 fast charging! I used to use the USB method plugged into my laptop to charge my iPod - a very looooooooong process. This one (and similar units) fully charge my ipod in less than 30 minutes...even a quick 15-minute charge is enough for several more hours of listening. The chargers sold by Apple are rather expensive and I'm so glad there are low-cost ones...I've tried this with success on the iPod Touch and a video iPod. I love that it's dual voltage for travel. |
