Epson 1900 printer
I have received this printer in good shape and on time. This printer does just a little better than a HP printer on resolution. This printer can make up to 13x19 inch prints and does a good job on all. I just wish the ink catridges were larger and it would tell me how much inck was in the catridge on the label. HP catridges are about three times larger but they cost three times as much too. The price was right for me for the printer.

Better than I hoped
I have had this printer for a week now and all I can say is WOW! I was concerned after I read the reviews here but decided to buy anyway because of past experience with Epson, and I am so happy I did.

When the box arrived I picked up the 'Start Here' booklet and within an hour and three prints (13"x19") I was getting better results than the stuff I had paid a professional lab $15.00 each for! No more, I just fired my lab.

I am printing from Photoshop CS3 using Adobe RGB color space and ICC information. The prints are incredibly color saturated with great contrast to really 'pop'.

I am absolutely in love with this printer!

Another week:

No change in my opinion, other than I like it even more. I printed 20 8x10 and 7 13x19 before having to add ink (Yellow and Cyan). Prints on Epson's fine art paper are fantastic! This is my last review.

This is a stunning printer
I was hesitant about purchasing this printer after some of the reviews here, but, I'm so glad I got it.

I spent some time studying the manual before I set it up. I knew to download the proper ICC profiles and use Epson paper, and use the settings specified in the instructions. I also calibrated my monitor so the colors would be true from monitor to paper. Some of the other reviewers have mentioned problems with paper size and ICC profiles, and I had absolutely no issues.

My first print was velvety, the colors were rich and the blacks solid. There is a small amount of noise in the shadow areas but it's the least I've ever seen in all my years of digital printing, noticeable only if your face is a few inches away from the print. I showed some prints to family and the response was a uniform "wow".

I don't have the space for the larger 2400 but I'm so happy with the R1900 (and saving a few hundred dollars) that I don't care. I can't wait to try different art papers and experiment.

Sounds Like Printer JUNK
Eureka!!
I was going crazy trying to buy one of these things on the net and was having problems( with Pay Pal And Bill Me Later) Boy am I glad. I have great difficulty speaking with Techs from New Delhi and Newfoundland, in addition to the wait on hold. HP Products are bad enough, and I don't need any more. I am a serious amateur and love to make prints that I can convert to watercolor paintings. I already have an HP 11x17 printer that works flawlessly, but I like new toys. Now I'm just going to keep working with it! Who needs 11x19 anyway!!!!!

Nothing but trouble - Stay away!
I've had this for 2 weeks and had nothing but problems with it. When it does print, it's a great quality print (hence the 2 stars). But it's quite temperamental, even with OS 10.4.8 and fresh new drivers from the Epson website. And Epson Canada don't even have an 1-800 number to call to; I have to pay the long distance fee!

I've been glued to the manual for the last 2 weeks, looking at the error page non stop, wondering why this printer won't print. It's always saying that I loaded the wrong media (please insert DVD when I did select Letter size), and flashing "paper jam" when I load a DVD!!

Bottom line: I'm returning it today and will get a Canon instead. My last one was a Canon ip8500 and I loved it right until it died. I though Epson would have a longer lasting life... But of course if I can't print with it, what's the point of having it for years?
