Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-10 Paid for itself right away I purchased this for my husband and within the first 2 times he used it the item paid for itself! My Dad also used it and was happy he did because he would have bought the wrong part because he thought the problem was something else. It is a nice diagnostic tool and worth the money. Rating: Date: 2008-05-20 Gets the job done Purchased this to check code that was suspect instead of going to dealer. Saved myself the cost of dealer (several hundred dollars) which paid for this unit many times over. Only issue is it erases code from unit as well as vehicle. Rating: Date: 2008-05-14 Money saver Great little item that basically paid for itself in the first use. Service engine light was on. Plugged the 3100 OBD2 unit in, got an emissions error code. Printed the report. Looked up the code and found a listing of potential problems. The most common listed was a faulty gas cap. Replaceed the gas cap. The engine light went off. Figured I saved $65-80 for the diagnostics plus some for a mechanic to tell me it was something else. Rating: Date: 2008-05-03 Equus 3100 Code Reader Equus 3100 Innova Diagnostic Code Reader with Memory Backup for OBDII (Post-1996) Vehicles I bought this diagnostic code reader to check on my wife's car check engine light. I found a little difficulty understanding the owner's manual, but nothing worse than any manual I have gotten with items lately. The hardest part in using the device was finding the place to plug it in the car, which is not the fault of Eqqus. The reader arrived at its conclusion quickly and let me know what had triggered the light. Hopefully I will not need this machine very often, but I am glad to have it handy. Rating: Date: 2008-04-22 Equus 3100 Innova Diagnostic Code Reader For the money this item was a great time and money saver. I would buy it again with no hesitation. |
