Product Description:

Repositionable toys include a soft hanging monkey, a soft toucan with jingle, an elephant with soft ears and a spinner with beads, a parrot with a paddle spinner and a frog character mirror. Two satin butterflies fly around above baby as colored lights pulse on and off while music plays. The large mat has a quilted rainforest underside, sun ray ribbons, and a soft tiger tail. A large soft giraffe sits at the bottom of the rainbow arch and has two points on which to link toys for baby. Mom can also link the toys to any of three link points on the mat as well as to any of five link points overhead for a total of 11 places to link toys for baby. Mom can choose between three modes of play: Baby mode allows baby's play time movements to set off eight to 12 seconds of lights and music. Music mode plays music for 20 minutes while baby plays. Rainforest mode plays 20 minutes of rainforest sounds while baby plays. The gym provides four songs and two sound effects sequences. Requires 2-C batteries, not included. Gym measures 20" x 32.5" x 32.5".

The best!
My daughter has been using this mat since she was 2 months old. She loves it! She still uses it and she is 9 months. Some reviews are saying it is cheap and not good quality, but she has used it everyday for 7 months and I have no problems with it. You can add your own toys to it, or you can take the toys it comes with down to go with you to town. The little animals are the cutest and my daughter seems to love them too. She was instantly drawn to the monkey and the bird. She is now not as interested in them, (probably gets bored with the same toys everyday) but I am able to add new toys to the hangers. So nice that you can take toys down and add different ones as kids get bores SO easily! I take the legs off and throw the mat in the washing machine and it's held up remarkably. This mat is not cheap it is definatley worth it!

DON'T BOTHER
I bought this and returned it the next day. The mat is so thin. I had nothing but problems trying to keep it from falling apart while my daughter played with it...and yes, it was put together properly. As far as being portable....that's a joke. Don't waste your money or time on the gym.

Not sure if they like it, but I do
I ordered this playmat while I was pregnant with twin boys. I started using it for their "tummy time" play and they seemed to enjoy it very much. Now they are 4 months and are very indifferent towards it. I think it is beautiful with the vibrant colors and cute animals. I especially like how the removable animals hang at different heights. However, they don't seem impressed at all. This was the only item I didn't buy two of and right now I'm glad I didn't. I hope that as they get a little older they will take more interest in it.

expected more
I really looked forward to this but the music doesn't always work. On high volume it stops and you need to move the poles
Fisher Price after all- supposed to be top of the line. No?

Nice, but......
The product description clearly states that, "Two satin butterflies fly around above baby as colored lights pulse on and off while music plays". It implies the butterflies spin on their own.

But you would be extremly disappointed to find it otherwise - they don't. This comes out as a major shortfall after you assemble the Gym. How could the manufacturer expect few month old babies to spin the butterflies, especially in the position they are attached to the frame? Impractical.

May be a tiny motor running over the baby's head is not a good idea.

Other than that, with vibrant colors, impressive array of toys, a silky mat, and lovely music it is a very nice product.
