Flavigny is probably best known here in North America for having been the filming location for the movie 'Chocolat'. But it was famous long before that for it's Anis based candies. These tiny hard candies are traditional French treats - packaged in keepsake oval tins. The flavorings are unique, a bit different from what we traditionally think of as 'candy' - and at the heart of each tiny sweet is an Anis seed. Great Violet Pastilles, Great Service
I love these small candies. They have just the right amount of sweet to curb my cravings without eating too many sweets. They're fabulous after a heavy meal.

Absolutely Wonderful Taste
These hard candies have a uniquely flowery taste that will captivate you. I'm not sure why they are presently unavailable, but when they return, they are well worth a try.

Lovely --and freshen your breath
Flavigny was the town, I think, where they filmed "Chocolat." It has a very ancient candy factory that makes all kinds of pastilles and hard candy. The Violet Pastilles are a round, pan-coated candy. They are white, deeply scented with violet extract and have an anise seed at the center. They are great for sweet breath and the taste, once acquired, is addictive.

Delicate flavor
I ate these as a kid (French mother...). The flavor is very delicate-and special. At the end, a little surprise is the anise seed inside! It's great for the sophisticated palate...
