GE 28001EE1 satelite handset
This was easy to set up, and the digital phone eliminates the annoying static we used to get with our old cordless phones. Satellite phones require only one base unit that is hard wired, and makes placement of extra phones very convenient. I also like the feature that allows naming of each handset so you know where it came from when someone lays it down other than in the charger. I am very satisfied with this product. Rating:

Poor Warranty Service
I originally gave this phone a good review but after eight months I had difficulty hearing when using the handset. Then I could not retrieve messages remotely. "Support" at Thomson is poor. For warranty service you must package, insure and mail the unit back to them using the original box if possible. Then wait four to six weeks to get a new or repaired unit back. Rating:

I already had this same phone with the base that contains an answering machine - this I bought to have an extra phone in the house. Both work fine, and the accessory phone is handy because its base charger does not need to be plugged in to a phone jack, so you can put it anywhere you want, as long as there is an electrical outlet. Reception is good.
Also, I originally looked at a Uniden phone that had accessory handsets, but you could not use both handsets at the same time! That is not a problem with this GE phone. Rating:
