Amazon.com Review: Water a budding plot of new grass or young trees and shrubs with this handy soaker hose from Gilmour. The 50-foot hose disperses water through three parallel tubes to provide an even spray for thirsty lawns and gardens. Plus, it has a white stripe to help users with proper hose arrangement and attachment to spigots and accessories. Gilmour created the soaker hose in reinforced vinyl to combat scrapes, warping from sun exposure, and other weather-related damage. The lightweight hose is malleable for easy coiling and requires minimal storage space. The hose features sturdy brass couplings on both ends of the hose and a removable end cap facilitates thorough flushing. Gilmour offers a lifetime replacement policy and will replace unsatisfactory products within their typical lifespan free of charge. This item weighs 2.82 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-05 Gilmour hose It is just what I wanted. I wanted a hose that would cover a wide area and deliver a lot of water. This product fulfilled my needs. I bought one to see if I liked it and then bought two more. I am considering buying one or two more. Rating: Date: 2008-06-28 works/with problems I really liked this hose at first and actually ordered another one. After about 2 weeks of use however, the little holes at the beginning of the hose started getting bigger from the water pressure. Now I have to watch for the position of the hose because it's spraying a much wider area now at that point. I would imagine that those holes will continue to get bigger and then the rest of the hose won't receive enough water to make it useful. Rating: Date: 2008-06-08 Huge holes form at beginning and end of hose within 2 days The hose started out working great, but within 2 days a few of the holes at the beginning and end of the hose got so large that they cause flooding near those areas. Rating: Date: 2008-03-30 Review of Gilmour 3-tube sprinkler This is an excellent, reasonably priced product, the best of its type, and I have previously purchased several different brands. The Gilmour provides a steady, consistent stream of water, it is strong, durable, and flexible, very much different than the remarkably fragile and flimsy Andrews tube sprinkler hose. I have had two Andrews sprinkler hoses, and they both, within a few weeks, ripped/came apart. Rating: Date: 2007-09-16 High quality hard to find This Gilmour 3-tube sprinkler hose was non existent in Memphis. Found some other lower quality hoses, but none of the quality you can find in a Gilmour product. Highly recommend. |
