On hot summer days nothing beats a scoop of snow--to eat! This delightful Snowman churns out bowlfuls of shaved ice in just seconds. Kids can slurp flavored sno-cones for a birthday party and adults can sip frozen daiquiris for evenings on the deck. Two 4-inch round plastic molds with lids are included for freezing water, syrup-flavored water, or fruit juices. Simply place the frozen round (regular ice cubes will work, too, but not as well) in the blade unit, cover with the motorized top, and press down on the palm-size operating button. A bowl placed underneath (not included) catches the instant snow. For safety the sharp blade is completely internal and not accessible to fingers when the Snowman is operating. Disappointed
I bought this for fathers day so the kids and their daddy could enjoy it together. It takes way too long to get enough ice for one snowcone. The kids were very antsy waiting and so were we. You can only put a tiny bit of ice in the ice compartment too or it jams and wont shave ice at all. I thought with the overall number of stars this was given, the bad reviews could just be overlooked but I was wrong. We will be returning this item asap.

This product is great! But yes, I agree with the other reviewers here that i wish i had more of those "cups" because this product works so well and easily! A great gift!

Worth The Money!!!
After reading some positive reviews I decided to give this machine a try. I figured I couldn't go too wrong over $25 or so. Got the machine yesterday and it is well worth the money. Comes very close to the quality of the $1,000+ commercial machines. Glad I didn't waste the money on a fancy machine now! You can't go wrong if you just want a quick snow cone for the the kids once in a while.

Great Snow Cone Maker!
This is a great machine and it's very simple to use. There's only one button--you press it to start and release it to stop. I use the ice molds that come with the machine. I find that the ice shaves faster and smoother once the ice has sat out for five minutes; otherwise, the machine jumps around a bit and has a rough time shaving. I found a couple of round, tupperware containers, the same size as the ice molds, from my local thrift store, so now I have extra molds. Each piece of ice makes a good size snow cone. This machine delivers the snow! It's fun and refreshing.

Great fun, great price!
I think not much needs to be said about this simple machine other than it works exactly how it should. It's easy to use, and easy to keep clean. The two ice molds that it comes with are perfect, and the ice shaves really well. We got this as a staff 'perk', and everybody is loving it, especially now that summer is here. I highly recommend it!
