This fondue fountain, patterned after those in-use at fancy hotels and party centers, produces a warm, flowing fountain of chocolate for the home user! Perfect for dipping your favorite treats --- strawberries, bananas, pound cake, marshmallows, pretzels, cookies --- and more! Great for parties and holiday events. To use, simply pre-melt chocolate and cooking oil (directions included) and pour into base of unit. easy to use
I recently used this fountain for a 50th anniversary celebration for my parents. We had no time to "try it out" prior to the event, so I was a bit apprehensive about the effectiveness and appearance of the fountain. I must say it was extremely easy to use, looked beautiful, and even cleaned up in a snap. Not a single hitch, which was awesome on such a busy afternoon. The fountain provided a special indulgence for the guests.

Do not purchase!
I usually don't write reviews, but I felt I had to this time so other consumers would not make the same mistake I did. I read the reviews about it not lasting long and was hoping when I purchased this chocolate fountain that it would just last long enough for 1 graduation party. It didn't even last an hour! The motor (after 30 mins) was starting to make a really loud noise, which we had to turn off. The motor on these units are not well made and it's definitely not worth spending the money on this item. Also, the tiers are made of plastic not stainless steel like the base of the fountain.

very cool item! i bought this fountain and brought it to a party and it's a big hit!!! people gathered around it! very easy to use (No instruction needed!!) and very easy to clean too!!! the chocolate flows very well (with a little oil added). $29.99 is a very good price! it took me less than 5 mins to assembly this item. 10 mins or less to clean it and put it back into its box after using. good item with a good price! thanks amazon!
