Works Great!
Our old hub started acting up and so I wanted a replacement hub quickly. I have a lot of devices I like to have connected to my laptop when I'm at home (printer, camera cable, scanner, external drive, numeric keypad etc.) I love having everything plugged into one central hub so all I have to do is connect or disconnect a single cable. This is just what I needed!

So Far so GOOD
I read every good and bad review for this before I bought it. I researched these hubs for hours. I finally made up my mind that despite the few nay sayers I was going to roll the dice and try it. I'm glad I did... This hub is still woking brilliantly. Its size and shape is very compatible with my desk at work. The weight of this product is a plus too. the extra port at the top is very convenient for quick and frequent ins and outs. I love this doggone product! Right now I have 2 Western Digital external hard drives, a Kingston memory stick, a mouse and a keyboard hooked up this Kensington hub. I don't think that it will support any more hard drives though. My laptop doen't have enough power. It's working fine out here in Iraq so far.

Terrific peripheral
Typical Kensington product - works right out of the box, durable, well-designed, attractive, and highly functional.

I have several external HD's, a scanner, a camera and an keyboard/mouse combo, which all work through this hub. This thing has been rock solid for me. I'd like to buy another for my other machine.

Seems to work ok. There is something loose rattling around inside of it though. Hasn't yet affected the performance.

Oh, Kensington DomeHub, we could have had something really special...
The idea of a weighted hub was very appealing to me. My last hub, a D-Link, spent a lot of time behind my desk. Apparently, most hub manufacturers have not been introduced to physics. Attaching a bunch of cables to a piece of plastic that weighs a few ounces makes sure that it won't ever stay put.

Alas, Kensington has broken my heart with the promise of this hub. I've only had it a couple of days and have noticed two problems.

The first, and most important, is that this hub supplies almost no power. I am able to use an external hard drive, but only if I don't connect any other devices. Using my wireless mouse causes my docked iPod to stop charging. Why in the world does this thing even plug into an electrical outlet?

Secondly, it seems to be very susceptible to interference. Transferring a large file over the wireless network starts making the mouse not respond and keyboard strokes to be missed. I tried the mouse receiver in another hub, and it seems to be something specific to the Kensington.

I've always been very satisfied with Kensington's products until now, but this thing doesn't even do a mediocre job. It should only be considered by people who don't use any bus-powered devices.
