You don't need to purchase this if you are getting a mini coca cola cooler.
They make it sound like the mini coca cola cooler needs this adapter to fully function, but you don't!!

A Must Have for the Koolatron Cooler
In order to fully use this portable cooler, the adapter is essential. I have recently taken two trips, transporting food from home in the car, but with this adapter I have not had to burden my host with finding space in his refrigerator while I visit because I can just plug my new cooler into a wall plug and forget it until my return home. No messing with ice and water and soggy food or time to maintain an unplugged cooler -- worth its weight in gold (and price), in my opinion!
