Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-04-15 AWESOME Toy! Really floats! If you're looking for the best bath toy EVER made, buy this! Once they put it together, install the motor and battery, it is ready for action in the tub, pool, wherever! It's got a heavy duty motor and really takes off. We were all surprised at how fast it really goes. And of all the lego sets we have, this one is probably the most detailed. All the little firemen on there are just awesome. The fire hoses swivel to put out all the fires, the chairs do, etc., even the rescue boat lets down from the main ship into the water to rescue folks. Great, great idea, it's dearly loved in this house, just a great toy. Highly, highly recommend! PS: Ladies, keep your husband away from this one - your son will never see it! Rating: Date: 2008-02-09 Lego City Fireboat My grandsons wanted this and loved it when they opened the box. It snowed after Christmas and they stayed home and worked on these until they were built. Great Item. Rating: Date: 2008-01-20 only Lego that floats was a BIG hit I got this because it was a nonmilitary-type lego but it was an even bigger hit than expected as my nephew had always wanted to make a Lego that floats and had tried w/ no success - but this was designed to float and gave him a great design tip. Rating: Date: 2008-01-08 Lego city Fireboat...many tiny pieces!!!! I purchased the Lego City Fireboat for my seven and a half year old son for christmas. He loves building legos and I loved the idea that this had a motor and could be used in the tub. The age on the box stated 5-12. I was rather baffled by the large age gap but purchased it anyhow. Upon opening the 187 piece lego set I now understood why the age gap. Not one of the pieces , except the actual boat platform, are any bigger than my thumbnail. My son was instantly intimidated by all the tiny pieces and opted to play only with the boat portion....in the bathtub. So, for about fifty dollars, he has a double AA operated bath toy :( |
