Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-01 Cheap and lots of fun The LCR dice game game is an inexpensive game that will usually get played for hours before you put it away. My bother introduced our family to the game at a family cookout and we just had to purchase our own. Rating: Date: 2008-06-25 Most Fun Ever!! This is such a simple game but it is so much fun to play that 10-12 of us play every month. We play ten rounds at $[...] each round. Everyone hosts an LCR party and all participants either bring an appetizer or dessert. It's a very cheap night out. We have tons of laughs and the game has become SO popular in my neighborhood that some people attend 2-3 LCR parties each month. It's much more fun with a minimum of eight people IMO. The more, the better. You can't go wrong with this game. Rating: Date: 2008-05-12 You can play this with normal dice... As a bartender of many years I have played this time many a night at work before the evening rush. We play it with the standard Bar Dice Cup, and three normal dice.
Each person rolls one die for each dollar bill in front of them when it's their turn - up to a Max of 3 dice (if your pile is more than $3 the extra is safe).
Rolling a 1, 2, or 3 means you keep the corresponding bill. A 4 and you pass that bill to the person before you, 5 it goes into the pot, and 6 to the next person.
Once it's down to only one person w/ Money (money slowly goes into the pot with each 5 rolled) - then they must roll one last time for each bill. If all bills end up in the pot you re-anti and it starts over...
We've played this with both a $3 and a $5 anti, it doesn't really matter, but we still keep it to a Max of 3 dice per shake. A $5 anti is a little more fun as it's impossible to pass all of your bills on the first round.
This game is fun BECAUSE you're never totally out of it. You may not have any bills in front of you - but a 4 or a 6 could send one in your direction.
Because of the gambling aspect I do not recommend for the full age group they suggest, but for passing time at a bar it is a winner. Rating: Date: 2008-04-05 Fun for All Ages, Anywhere! This game comes in a tiny, portable tube with three dice with L, R & C or dots on them, and a bunch of little yellow chips. It is easy to learn for all ages, and helps the younger ones learn their left and right and how to count and keep track.
My one concern is that it's terribly easy to lose the chips. However, the first time we played we took only the dice out to dinner with us and we used sugar packets as chips. For all it matters, you could even use pieces of paper as chips. We all quickly learned how to play and had tons of fun - there were 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 youngsters (4 & 6).
I highly recommend this game as good family entertainment. Because it is so portable it would be a great game to take on a trip, espcially if you wanted to kill time in an airport. If you want to make it really exciting, use coins with the kids and let them keep the pot! Have them add up the change for a good teachable moment. Rating: Date: 2008-04-05 FAMILY GAME GREAT FOR ALL AGES This is a wonderful game which is easy to learn and play by all ages. It is small enough to be included in the camping equiptment or the car for the long summer trips.
For adults this could be a wonderful gambling game or who knows!! It actually is a lot of fun no matter if you play for chips or $$. |
