Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-22 Could be better This is a cute doctor kit that both my kids enjoy. However the blood pressure gauge constantly comes apart which is frustrating for them. Also - I gave up on the case and threw it away - it was nearly impossible for me to fit all the pieces back in and close the thing - there's no way a child can do it. I ended up getting a generic plastic box which made everyone happier. I think one of our craft projects this summer is going to make our own doctors bag... I think there are better kits out there. Rating: Date: 2008-06-01 pretty good kit for the price. My son loves it! the only problems I've noticed were that the blood pressure equipment broke easily. The doctor bag is slightly narrow for him to fit his hand in and he's only 3 1/2 so his hands are tiny. other than those things...it's great, and it's one of his favorite toys. Rating: Date: 2008-02-26 Perfect toy for a child who is seeing the doctor a lot My granddaughter has had to see the doctor a lot in the last 9 months and she has been very good, but it is hard for a 2 year old to be patient. One of her doctors had this toy and she played with it while they did what they had to do for her and it helped. So when we got home I bought the exact toy and she has had so much fun listening to her dollies heartbeats and taking her teddy bear's temperature. It really is a good toy and it has helped her stay calm about the things that doctors have to do. If you have a child that is sick get this toy and let them carry the little case with them when they go to the doctor. If the doctor is worth his salt he won't mind when the child wants to listen to his heartbeat or take his temperature. I recommend this toy absolutely. Rating: Date: 2008-01-07 Awesome Toy! My 2 year old loves to play doctor. This toy allows her to pretend to listen to her dolls hearts without having to say thump thump! One small problem I wished they had attached the hose to the blood pressure cuff instead of it comming off. I had to take that part away. Outside of that it is an awesome toy that she plays with every day! Rating: Date: 2007-10-31 Box broke immediately When my 3-year-old dropped the box, it broke immediately. The flaps won't reattach, so the box is useless. I had to find a bag for storing all the pieces. Buy a kit that has a bag in the first place! The blood pressure cuff is made of two pieces that won't stay together and it's too hard for a 3-year-old to assemble, so he doesn't play with it. International Playthings did not put their name anywhere on the product (which I found strange), so I had trouble checking for recalls when I heard about another company's blood pressure cuff containing lead. The mirrored thing with a hole in the middle has a headband that's too small to fit on anyone's head! The plastic scissors actually cut paper, but not hair (thank goodness). The medicine bottle has a rounded screw-off cap that is under 1" in diameter, so I think that's probably a choking hazard. I like the thermometer, squeaking syringe, and bandage. The stethoscope doesn't fit my child's head, but it worked nicely with his Halloween costume. |
