Product Description: Ultra-compact / Allows you to capture much more and in higher resolution / 1.5 times faster than the M type when saving data Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-28 GREAT! MUST BUY! I'm one of those users who thinks I know what I'm doing but really, who's kidding? I'm a total novice when it comes to digital photography. So when I needed to buy an external picture card, I went to Amazon reviews and found this one. The 2+ is seriously FAST and, as the other XD cards, has proven to be both reliable and EASY. Thanks to the other reviews I not only got a great product but I kind of sound like I know what I'm doing. It was worth the price. Thanks Amazon reviewers - this is a great product! Rating: Date: 2008-06-18 Xd flash memory Unfortunately Olympus is using this rare format so card was a Must for newly bought camera (camera coming without any).
High capacity ,speed & good performance /price ratio are advantages . Rating: Date: 2008-06-08 must have for video to work best A must have to get the best video on the Olympus 1030sw. M+ is a must for fast saving photos too. Rating: Date: 2008-05-18 Same thing as Type H Not a long review here; just some comments.
These M+ cards are, in practical usage, about the same speed as Type H XD cards. The maximum capacity for them is unchanged: 1 to 2 gB per card. They are shaped the same, look the same, and Olympus claims that they will work in "nearly all" available XD compatible devices.
Subjectively, I am seeing more and more Type M+ and far fewer Type H cards in retail stores for reasonable prices, but functionally they seem like the same item. I am using one 1 gB Type H, one 2 gB Type H, and two 2 gB Type M+; if there is a difference, I cannot detect it.
