Highly Recommend!
My lab has had battles with dry, itchy, flaky(and at times stinky) skin for years and I've tried several different means of combatting it with little help. Then, a friend of mine who's dog had been having similar skin issues told me her vet recommended using this product on her dog. So, I tried it and it has made a great difference in my dog's skin. She doesn't flake as much, her scratching greatly has lessened, her hair doesn't shed as much, and that icky "dog smell" isn't an issue anymore. The product leaves her coat very shiny and clean and there's no medicine smell like some products can leave. Very satisfied with this purchase overall. Rating:

My poor old Bassett Hound, "Bundy" sure appreciates this shampoo. A good scrubbing with this and he's been allowed back in the house for almost two weeks now. Kills that stinkin' hound dog smell. Rating:

Pricy but works
On the recommendation from our vet, we started using this 2 years ago. Our Griffon has little staph like patches every 6 months or so. After using this shampoo for a couple of weeks, the patches start to disappear. We bathe him often so it is a bit costly, but it's well worth it. Rating:

Works great on dogs and cats with ringworm
We adopted a kitten about 5 weeks ago, unaware that she had a case of ringworm. Our dog ended up catching it. We bathed our kitten in Malaseb twice a week for several weeks. We started seeing results within a couple of weeks. She is almost completely healed up now. We used Malaseb in conjunction with Ketoconazole oral and miconazole nitrate 1% topical lotion. We also bathe our dog in it twice a week now and it really relieves the itching and redness on his lesions. I highly recommend Malaseb shampoo and spray for people battling ringworm infestations on their animals. Remember, though, you have to leave the lather on the animal for 10 minutes like the directions say, or else it won't be as effective. Rating:

Did Not Work
This type of shampoo worked on my dog when he had a skin problem back in November 2006. At that time I bought the shampoo from my Vet for $32. When the same skin condition returned the end of April 2007. I searched the Internet for a better price for it. I was happy I was able to find it for a more reasonable price. Unfortunately it has not worked on my 12 year old Maltese and now I have to pay for a return visit to my Vet! To say the least I am not happy. |
