Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-07 Old Fashioned Fun~on the small side Our daughter really enjoyed the neighbor's Fisher Price price version of the stackers, so we thought wood would be a more durable material in addition to getting more rings. We were surprised that the two smallest rings were SO small, but were quite pleased overall. She loves to clack two stackers together for a while before sliding them onto the base. This provides plenty of entertainment for her as she learns about colors and relative size. Rating: Date: 2008-05-14 Surprised The stackable is Nice but was upset that it was scaled way down to what the Normal size used to be.Easier for a baby if the pieces could still be wooded but the normal size. I would Never order this SIZE again Rating: Date: 2008-01-22 BIG hit! We got this for my 18 mos old for Christmas. She plays with it all the time as does her 4 yr old sister. They even play with it together and my old daughter helps her baby sister with it. Along with the shape sorter we got her this was her favorite present!!! Well worth the money! Rating: Date: 2008-01-12 stacker who doesn't love a stacker? what i especially like is that the rings are all the same size on the inside so my daughter can stack them any way she likes...they don't have to go in the same order each time! Rating: Date: 2007-12-10 good simple fun This is a good basic addition to any toddler's toy collection. We like it because:
- It's wood. The rings make a satisfying "clink" that plastic or cloth stacking rings lack.
- It's easy for kids to do. We've had other stacking toys (like the Melissa & Doug stacking train) where certain pieces only fit in certain places, and that is frustrating for little ones just figuring out how things work. This one's simple and straight-forward.
- It's inexpensive.
My older son received this when he was about 18 months and played with it quite a bit. Now his younger brother enjoys it, and has been able to put the rings on & off since about 12 months.
(Just a warning: the stick, or "ring holder" as we call it, often gets banged around like a hammer in our house - this is partly why they like this toy so much, but it means close supervision is necessary!) |
