Broke Immediately
This shaver is a dual power, with option to use either batteries or adapter. I found it heavy with the batteries but did work well for one day (about two hours of continuous use) then quit completely. Next time I tried to start it up, it would not start, either with batteries or adapter. Save your money and don't waste your time buying this one. There are better. Rating:

I had high hopes for this one
I was on a quest recently to find a fabric shaver. Most of my local stores didn't carry one. I found a local pharmacy with a small battery-operated unit for $6.00. Purchased it, put in the batteries and nothing. Fiddled with the connectors and finally it started - worked great! Took off all those little pills, the sweats looked great again. It was noisy though and kept sputtering because of the poor connectors. Then, it stopped. I tried fiddling again, put new batteries in, nothing. I returned it thinking had I purchased it in the 99 cent store I would have gotten what I paid for. Started searching again. I found this unit and thought, "wow, no batteries needed." Pricier than I wanted, but maybe "you get what you pay for." Couldn't wait to receive it, now I was searching my closet for items to repair. The package came and I immediately opened it and plugged it in. The unit was nice looking, felt good in the hand, was really quiet compared to the other and then, the letdown. The blades do a really poor job at removing pills. I had to go over and over the same area with not nearly the results I had from the $6 version. I can't believe it. I thought I had reached Nirvana with this one, but it just doesn't fill the bill. Maybe it's just my unit, I don't know. Trying to find out now if they sell replacement blades. If anyone knows, post it here. Rating:

The BEST Electric Fabric Shaver
I had been searching for an item like this for many years. I used to use those fabric razors that took such a long time to do the job. You will not be disappointed with this nifty fabric shaver! It is,in my opinion,the best priced choice on the market today. It is worth every penny; I have saved much money in taking the time to tackle this project for my family. It's easy to use, not too heavy,just about two pounds,operates with electricity, makes a little noise, and no batteries required. You will be AMAZED;it does an AWESOME JOB in restoration of just about any type of fabric, from wools to acrylics, cottons, rayons,and polyesters. Some fabrics may require a little extra care,and maybe even extra time in reshaving certain areas of the garment. Be patient; proceed slowly, at first. You will be pleasantly surprised at how good a job it does. It makes a great Bridal Shower gift, a practical Birthday gift, Christmas gift, Housewarming gift, and perhaps one to be included on the College Student must have list. I absolutely LOVE my NeoTec Electric Fabric Shaver; it is an invaluable tool that I frequently use. I encourage you to give it a try. |
