They are not that great
I just recently bought these, the top screen protector works just fine. But i do not recommend using the bottom protector as it was hard to get on and when I put it on there were a lot of air bubbles.

These are awesome filters!
This is a great filter. I have tried several filters in stores that were cheap and did not work well. This filter is seamless, it goes on great and its very easy to make sure you get all the bubbles out. I didn't use the top screen filter and the bottom screen filter hasn't affeted my games at all so I am thrilled with this purchase. The filter doesn't quite cover the entire screen but I imagine that makes it easier to remove. I highly recommend this quality filter.

Bubbles and Scratches from the surface
My experience with the Hori DS Lite Protective Filter was not a good one. Firstly, this product must be applied with complete lack of dust, which I found to be facilitated by the inclusion of a cloth to wipe the screen clean of any dust particles. However, this is near impossible as the smallest dust particle creates an air bubble of a very large magnitude. This results in, me being unsatisfied with even a single air bubble, taking the filter off and on again until satisfaction is attained, but in this process I managed to bend one of the corners in pulling the filter up off the surface of the screen with my fingernail. This problem, I am assuming, is present with all screen protector and is not necessarily the fault of Hori but of the nature of the product.
Second, the touch screen filter is obviously meant to protect the screen from all kinds of scratches. Now, after applying the lower screen's filter and upon using the stylus to play Professor Layton, the stylus left extremely distinguishable scratch marks upon a single stroke.
After this experience I will not be buying a screen protector from Hori any time soon.

So glad I bought this
I finally bought my daughter the Nintendo DS-Lite she wanted. I'd seen other screen protectors that had low consumer ratings, so I was relieved when I happened upon the HORI protective filters. As other reviewers said, they went on very easily. And while her friends' Nintendos are showing signs of wear (scratched screens, some after the first use), my daughter's still looks new. Great product!

Be careful
Be careful when applying the protective screens to your DS. Your screens must be thoroughly wiped and rid of dust and hair, because that will remain trapped under the protective screen forever.

I'm sure the instructions might let you know, but they're all in Japanese. Applying the screens isn't rocket science, though, and it lets you know to remove the protective cover from the adhesive screens before applying in English.

I ended up losing my anti-glare top screen to dust, so I've only applied the protective bottom screen. I haven't seen a single scratch in my protective screen yet after a week or two of use.

As long as you manage to apply the screens properly, the product delivers what it promises. There are some minor air bubbles when first applied, but they do disappear in a few days.

When I eventually replace my protective bottom screen, I will buy these screens again, because the bottom screen protects much better than others I've tried, and has a nice level of clarity. I'm just going to be much more careful not to ruin either screen before applying.
