Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-06-25 Coiled Water Hose - Save your money My in-laws purchased us one of these and it was annoying! It would get tangled in between coils. You had to pull really hard to get it extended. Rating: Date: 2008-06-14 Picture is a much better product than the real thing! The hose in the picture shows metal conectors the one I got was plastic. I have high water presure and it blew off and soaked my bathroom. Rating: Date: 2008-06-11 Not what I expected Granted, this is a $20 hose, but I thought it would be ok for what I wanted. I only have a small group of shrubs and plants which I wanted to water with this hose and I thought it would be great to pull it out, do my watering, and presto, let it spring back. I was very wrong. First of all, I had a horrible time with the faucet fitting. I tried multiple times to get it to work without leaking but it only ended in me getting drenched when I went to turn the water on or off. The water pressure was not great, but with the smaller hose, I had already assumed that would be the case. If you want to use this for something other than minor watering, don't bother. The spring recoil did not work. I basically had to pick the hose up and place it where I wanted it and "help" the recoil process along.
I really liked the idea of a quick, cool hose. That's exactly what it was though..just an idea. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Rating: Date: 2008-06-06 Hose, not hosed Plastair SpringHose 50-Foot Coiled Water Hose, Ocean Blue #PUW650B93OT
I live in an apartment without any outside water spigots. I have a container garden and flowers outside. Watering was a total pain lugging a large watering jug back and forth, back and forth. Not to mention filling it in a kitchen sink. Ugh! Now I just hook up my springhose to either my kitchen sink or bathroom faucet and my watering is done in minutes instead of over an hour of lugging and hauling. I have never had any drips or leaks on my floor or carpeting and I drag it from the front of my apartment through the house and into the back. LOVE IT!!!! Rating: Date: 2008-06-05 a change for the better Got one of these for my mother-in-law a few years back and decided it was time to give myself a break from dragging that heavy, annoying, snarled up mess of hose.
Glad I did. Slightly less water pressure but OK for my needs. Fittings could be a little more substantial. |
