Product Description:

Killer Bunnies is a fast-paced, action-filled card game in which you must try to keep as many Bunnies alive as possible while eliminating your opponents' Bunnies. The problem: Your opponents are armed with weapons and will stop at nothing to keep you from winning the game. Be careful -- it can get dreadfully vengeful, horribly nasty, hilariously messy and just plain fun. Can you keep from being attacked by the whimsical Whisk or the torching Flame Thrower' Defend your Bunnies with the Magic Spatula, or use a Feed The Bunny card to starve out an opponent. It's off-the-wall strategic fun, where the goal is to survive and claim the Magic Carrot to win the game.

Great Game
This game is a sort of management game bundled up in a fun package. It should maybe have been called "Bunny Killers", since your actual bunnies don't kill opponents' rabbits (insofar as this starter begins).

I mainly just wanted to rate this game. Most of the other reviews already have it down. It's a great game. You use luck (drawing the randomized winning carrot), skill (managing your money to buy the carrots), and playing dirty (the rules even suggest it) to win the game. One guy gave this one star, and from his review, it seems based solely on the win method (which is totally random), but the game encourages wheeling and dealing to get as much carrots as possible, and there are cards that let you actually steal carrots from players. His suggestion to deal the carrots and reveal the "magic" one wouldn't fly in the mechanics of the game: You can go ahead and reveal the winning carrot if you want, but you'll still have to buy the winner, hope no one steals it form you, and hope no one causes you to return it to the pile. The game is tons more complicated than that.

One of my main disappointments was the box is designed to hold 3 decks of cards, 2 on one side and 1 in the middle on the opposite side. The expansion sets will make the deck insanely large, so some people will probably lose a few pointless cards as the game's draw deck gets bigger..and bigger...and bigger! This will hold roughly every expansion except a few, but judging by Onyx's HUGE box, you will probably stick all the cards and items in two boxes.

This game should be in every family's game area, I think. Very kid-friendly, and math is applied here to an extent.

WOW is this game fun!
Killer Bunnies. The game where nothing makes sense, and everything makes sense. At least, this is how it was described to me. I had never heard of it and honestly can't believe its been out for so long (at least 6 years) before I had the opportunity to play SEVERAL times this past weekend.

Yes, the first time someone tries to explain to you the rules and gameplay and strategies and the general how-to of this game you are no doubt going to find yourself saying 'What?! This makes no sense. I don't get it.' But trust me. You WILL get it, and you'll love it, and you'll find yourself wanting to play over and over again. In my opinion, the way to play this for the first time is to play an open hand with everyone and to play it with someone who has played at least once. Half way through the game, you'll find yourself catching on. By the end of the first game, you'll understand enough to play and you'll be hooked.

And yes, some of the rules and some of the cards and actions are very vague and will leave you scratching your head as to how to procede. But that is one of the things that makes this game so great. As a group you work out the problems and decide on a course of action. And yes, when it comes to winning, luck is the overall deciding factor, but getting there is all the fun. Like the lottery, you gotta be in it to win it. Buy this game and be prepared for a lot of fun, and a new addiction.

This game is SO much fun!!!
I got this game for my birthday from my brother, who has a slightly twisted sense of humor. Since the "twisted humor gene" runs in my family, I was more than happy to give it a try.

The directions are long, but the authors take into account the fact that most of us are not rocket scientists. They take you through everything step by step so when you play that first hand you're ready. I suggest you consider your first game a "practice game" because you'll probably have a few questions and you will need to refer to the instructions. But once you've played once or twice this game is very fast-paced and competitive.

My teenage daughters and I have been playing it every night and we love it. We all have our favorite carrots (mine is "Dex" the nerd!) and we feel absolutely no guilt about killing innocent bunnies.

Of course this game isn't for everybody, and I understand that someone who is sensitive to the extermination of innocent bunnies may have a bone to pick with me. But really... how can you not laugh at weapons like lime green jello?

It's all in fun and no actual bunnies get harmed. And the end of the game is a cool combination of luck and chance (we do it like an "American Idol" show... "And the ultimate Carrot Idol is...")

All in all, this is a great family game. The kids will need to know how to read well in order to play, and they will need to understand that killing rabbits is not really an appropriate activity. If your children (or adults!) can do that, it's all good.

Even old people like Killer Bunnies!
We purchased this game for our 20-something son-in-law for Christmas. That was our first time to play it. We were hooked. Even though we are 50-something, Killer Bunnies is a crazy, complicated game that can be learned and played in one setting; likewise, it may take several games to learn a strategy. You can choose whether to be kind or evil to your opponents and either way, you still may win the game! We love it!

This game is a BLAST!
My nephew gave this to my brother's family for Christmas. We have had several game nights as a result. I had to buy my own for my house. It is the wackiest, most fun group game I have played in some time. The bunnies, the weapon cards, and the general competition that comes from playing it are so much fun! Great for families or for group of friends. You gotta get this game!
