Product Description: Fresh or frozen, regular or rising crust, exclusive RotaBake(TM) technology assures great tasting pizza every time. Freezer to perfect in minutes with no preheating. Special control lets you make toppings as bubbly and crusts as crispy as you like. Amazon.com Review: This 1,235-watt countertop oven makes pizza in about half the time required by a conventional oven. You don't need to preheat it--it begins rotating and baking the moment you plug it in. There are independently controlled top and bottom heating elements, so all types (frozen or fresh) and sizes (7 to 12 inches) of pizza can be custom baked. With a rising-crust pizza, for example, you should run the lower heating element for 10-12 minutes before turning on the top element. For a crisper crust, bake the pizza with both heating elements, then finish it off with a few minutes of bottom-only heating. For extra cooking time on your toppings, leave the top element on a little longer. A timer with automatic shutoff lets you set cooking times precisely, and a cooking-time guide for various pizza types is printed on the pizza maker. For safety, the appliance shuts off automatically if it overheats. With the 13-1/4-inch-diameter baking pan in place, the pizza maker is 13-1/4 inches wide, 9-1/2 inches high, and 17-1/2 inches deep. (The baking pan can be removed for more compact storage.) It carries a two-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-07 Pizza Baker It's everything it is advertized to be. We also use it to toast tortilla chips covered with cheddar and jalopenos. Rating: Date: 2008-07-04 Good product, works well This little Pizza oven works great! I have tried both store-bought frozen and store-bought chilled pre-made pizzas, both rising-crust and crispy crust. I made some from scratch, and tried it with plain home made foccacia bread. Easy to clean (usually none required), doesn't heat up the kitchen. Crust browns nicely, toppings cook to perfection. You can't go wrong with this appliance! Rating: Date: 2008-06-24 Great oven. Would definitely recommend! I would definitely buy this oven again. It makes terrific pizza everytime. Very easy to use and small enough to store in a cabinet. Rating: Date: 2008-06-21 good, but................. This works great for thin crust pizza. Out of the freezer, 12-14 minutes. Does not work on thick crust or stuffed pizza at all. We tried twice and after 40 minutes the pizza was still very cold inside and we had to transfer it to the oven. That being said, my kids prefer thin crust and that is what I make nine times out of ten. Pizza is always evenly cooked.
My main complaint with this appliance is storage. It is quite large and takes up too much counter space to leave out but also hard to store. So far, I have boxed the item back up after each use and put the box in a storage closet. Rating: Date: 2008-06-07 Good Product. Tasty Pizza Good Product. I have used at home and even at work! Used over 12 times with frozen pizzas and Boboli in the past 2 months. Saves time and money (don't have to turn on and preheat the large oven. Only wish it could accommodate larger pizzas. |
