Just as stated above (below?) this is not an actual r4 this is a fake... and an expensive fake to... there is no "3rd generation" r4 so just a heads up... also... this card seems to get very hot after barely any gameing just make sure you don't overheat and/or brick your ds...

It should be noted...
It should be noted that the R4-II Upgrade is not made by the same people who make the original R4. It is a counterfiet R4 with quality and compatibility on par with (if not the same hardware as) the n5, e7, and R6. Typically the n5, e7, R6 and other such products sell for less than the R4, so it is a bit of a shame to spend full R4 price for this.

It should also be noted that the R4-II still uses the spring mechanism for loading the MicroSD card, which the real R4s did away with in revision 2.
