Probably okay for pre-teens, but not adults
This product has pretty solid construction. The handlebar height is adjustable. The tires are fat and hold traction well.

I returned this product. The important part of a review for an electric scooter, to me, is your weight. I'm about 185 pounds - grown man. This scooter does okay on level surfaces, it even makes it up inclines, barely; but that aside, the battery life was about 20-25 minutes the first time I rode it and the second time was 20 minutes or less. This is versus the 6-8 hour charge time.

So, you plug it in, charge it all night and you get about a 20 minute ride around the block and it's back to the charger.

The specs say max load is 240 pounds, but that's clearly just what it can structurally support without the frame breaking. The motor could never move that much weight and it'd probably kill the motor if you tried.

Again, it's not a bad product and it's a good entry level scooter for your young son or daughter, but don't get it if you're an adult. The greater the weight the shorter battery life. Someone like me can probably get away with a 2 mile round trip on a fairly even grade before the battery wears down.

I've ordered the eZip 1000 as an alternative. It releases July 2008. It's more expensive, but I'd tentatively recommend it for an adult as opposed to this scooter, which, as I said, is more suited to a smaller person.

    So Far, So Good
This is probably our fifth or sixth Razor scooter, although the past models have always been smaller. This Razor is much larger and faster than those others. Much too big for a small kid to handle unless very experienced. Our kids are 10 and able to handle but they've been riding Razors for over four years. The scooters are always very easy to put together and seem to be made solidly. As I noted before, this one is very fast on a relative basis and could be dangerous for inexperienced riders. Our kids are pretty tough on the Razors and generally something goes wrong within the year. Even when that does not occur, the battery fails to maintain a charge beyond that time. So, unless this one is different than the others we've had, expect the scooters to be basically disposable. In any case, our kids have really enjoyed them while they've lasted. Just make sure your kid is big enough to handle the E300 before they seem to have outgrown the previous smaller model.

    Run Time and Customer Service
After following ALL instructions accompanying the product we still experienced run times of two thirds less than reflected in accompanying literature. Attempts to contact Razor via email was about as frustrating as I've seen anywhere. The scooter is well constructed but battery life is very problematic. This may be a "fluke" with this particular battery but the customer service response is "weak" and pretty much leaves you hanging refering you to automated problem resolution suggestions that are basically the same as those that appear in the accompanying literature. I will attempt further contact with Razor via the web and phone.

    Great scooter
This is a great scooter, for an adult or child. I bought this for my 13 year old son and he loves it. Its looks great, rides great and handles great! He can ride it for about 30-45 minutes on a full charge. A lot of the other boys in the neighborhood have scooters but are always asking to ride his. Would definitely purchase this again, actually thinking of buying one for my neice now.

    great scooter!
Bought this scooter for my 11 year old, he loves it!! My 8 year old has the red E100 that also is a great scooter but this beats it! not only the speed but the tires are larger and more robust, with the free shipping on this scooter, it is a great deal!
