Product Description: The new Ripstick combines all the fun and excitement of surfing and snowboarding and puts it on wheels. Inspired by the classic shape and design of a skateboard, the Ripstick looks like something out of the future. Instead of the traditional four-wheel skateboard, this amazing board can make smooth, quick 360-degree turns on just two wheels. Just stand on the sturdy traction plates and subtle movements propel the Ripstick even up a hill! The front and rear flexible panels are controlled by a spring-oriented bar located on the top of the wheels. The rugged polyurethane wheels are 77mm/85A with ABEC-5 bearings. Separating the two traction plates is a padded rubber carrying handle. Comes with an instructional DVD. Measures 33.5" long x 10" wide. Weighs 8 lbs. Wear helmet and pads for safety. 90-day warranty. Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 My son is addicted to playing Ripstik My son is 7 years old, he had a hard time at the beginning, but he is unbelievably good at this after just 3days. He can not help playing everydays. This is really good. Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 It's better than a skateboard! I got the the ripstik and it's awesome!First of all it's easy to master and it's easier to use than it looks. If you have some trouble to decide whether to get a skateboard or a ripstik ,choose the ripstik.Second of all, it's very quick and you don't have to jump to turn. You can even go uphill by doing a furious twist.I have fallen of it once or twice, but it's very easy and fun to ride. Thanks for reading this review! Ripstik > skateboard Rating: Date: 2008-07-05 GREAT FUN! YAY! THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. IT'S A LITTLE EXPENSIVE THOUGH AND I HAVE GOTTEN INJURED ON MINE, BUT IT WASNT BAD. I REALLY LOVE MINE, BUT YOU MUST HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE TO LEARN TO RIDE IT. Rating: Date: 2008-06-29 fun!!!!!! this is a very fun and fast little board! it has awsome speed and and can go up hills! it has a future look to it and goes really fast... i almost beat my friend down a hill while he was on a bike! Rating: Date: 2008-06-25 Difficult to master, but amazingly fun Whereas some people have been saying this product stinks for them, my experiences say that this is only due to the rider, not the board. My nine year old daughter and twelve year old son spent two days learning how to ride, frustrated at the difficulty level, but on the third afternoon, they figured out how to make it pivot repeatedly, and they have been riding for a month now for almost an hour a day with smiles on their faces. |
