There are nicer ones for a little more
Easy enough to attach, though with a broken pedal, seperated just above the spring, I recommend you apoxy the pedal back together before attaching the steel plate.
The only thing I didn't like about this plate was the mounting screws were not beveled so they didn't sit flush into the plate but had rounded heads that hurt the feet if you play in barefeet or with just socks.
The other repair plate I saw appeared to have a smoother surface with flushed screw heads giving it a cleaner more professional design and it's only like $6.00 more. So for $15 it's a fair to good choice but for a few dollars more you can have a nicer one.

Metal to the pedal
I haven't owned Rock Band for a long time, barely over a month, but the thought of breaking the pedal scared me. They don't sell pedals separate from the drum kit you know. So as soon as I had the money I knew I had to invest in this "Pedal Metal" that everyone was talking about. I have friends come over a lot now playing Rock Band with me, and one of them is insane at the drums. With the amount of pedal presses in the game it wouldn't be long before the pedal broke. Thankfully with this product there hasn't been any fear of that happening, no sign of any wear, and the pedal works the same, even slightly faster than before! I recommend this product to anyone who worries that their pedal will break or has already broken, it's the best investment you can make if you want to continue having fun with the game in the long run.

i ordered this piece about 4-5 days ago, came super fast, and very easy to install, it took me about 10 minutes

good investment
great product, just make sure when you install this you put it as far back at the heal as possible. mine still broke after installing this product right where the pedal connects to the floor stand where the metal bar is., however this is not due to the metal pad i bought but to a defualt in the pedal which was already there. great product, wouldnt recomend playing without one.

Product is metal solid
The product is very easy to install and works great. Fixes the problem in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend in place of paying for warranty replacement of a product that will break again.
