Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-08 Great... but I had to work really hard on it... I never own an MP3 and finally decided to try one so I thought I'll get this one to try out since the price is awesome :). May be I'm inexperience or mis-understanding how it works, but I expected it to work like a memory stick (plug in then drag and drop)... I sure have the problem here. My laptop does not show this device in my Window XP -window explorer(?), I can't find it anywhere; uh oh... so I open it in my window media and do the copy to device(I have version 9.0)... I can't find it either. I think this is useless on my laptop.
However, I took it to work and plug it into my desktop... hmmmm... can't find it in window explorer either (?). I was so confused and was going to cry, but hey one more try; I opened up the window media and try to copy to device again... Halleluiah, it saids SansaM250! I had to manually create artist and Album folders then copy each album to each folder created... Darn it, I had to have 2 cups of coffee this morning (I'm only a weekend drinker).
Wait, its not over yet...How does this thing work? It just kept playing the first song from each album from each artist and if I hit the >>, it toggle back and forth from one artist and album to the next one(ahhhh...)hmmm... may be it didn't recognized my folders(?); I really can't listen to classical then the next song is rock and roll and then the one after that is hip-hop then country then opera ??? I can only listen to one gern at a time. Anyhoo, it was my bad (first time inexperience :))I swear the up/down button (>ll and Repeat/AB) didn't work! (only the side to side ones), I couldn't scroll to artist/album. I started to get kinda mad now so I pushed every freakin button... well, somehow the up/down button decided to work and I can move to my artist/album now. Well, now all is well (Haaaaa...) but I still can't down load anything from my lab top because it seems that this device does not exist. I guess I can only download from my work desk top and only through window media (weird), well then I will have to knock off some stars on this. I really didn't expect it to be such hard work like this. Now that it works, I'm ok with it. I guess I didn't pay much for this, but sure I had such big headache over it. I guess I will have to go to bed early tonight then. Good luck and have fun with it. Tata everyone :) Rating: Date: 2008-07-07 Just what I needed When I bought this player I didn't have a clue how to work one. I plugged it into my computer opened up Window Media and dragged and dropped the songs I wanted into the sync window and that was it! Couldn't be any easier than that. I haven't installed the software that came with it yet. I was amazed at the clarity of the sound through the head phones. There was some static in between songs but not bad. The radio picked up all of the stations in my area with no problem. The only complaint I do have is the UBS cable it too short. My tower sits under my computer desk and I have to bend under my desk to view the LCD screen on the player. Otherwise, it's a great little player for the price. I love it so far. Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 Fast Forward and CD Issues I really like this little guy, but I'm disappointed with the CD that came with it. Even when I tried it on my old dependable XP and new Vista machines, nothing happened when I clicked the main start icon. The player isn't hard to figure out though, and it has a great display. It's a compact size but not so tiny that I'll lose it. My only other beef with the player is the fast forward function. I bought this mainly for audiobooks, and when I fast forward, it seems to want to skip to the next book part as soon as it hits around 18 minutes into the section. No matter if I try holding the button down for a sustained period or just for five seconds or so. Maybe if the CD worked I could resolve this issue. Hmmm. Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 The Best Mp3 Player Out There. Let me tell everyone; I bought the first Sansa about 2 years ago, Then I bought one for for 2 of my closest friends. Then I bought one more for myself, and then about a year later I found I couldn't buy anymore of the m250s. I was so upset, I looked all over the net and found some for sale on Ebay, and bought one of those. Then guess what; I wanted another and was interested in buying one of the rechargable ones at Radio Shack. I ended up with a Centon Movox the salesman talked me into, and it was pure garbage. Now I find to my absolute delight that Amazon has the Sansa m250 again! Hooray! I am tonight buying 2 more, just in case I break one. And at bargain prices! I hope to hell Sansa will keep making this model, it is a winner! I absolutely love these, they are reliable, and the company tech support will help thoroughly if you need it. I love the AAA battery powered feature since I kept finding when I'm working it's a lot easier to pop another battery in it, than to have to plug one into a charger. I now have one for each of my vehicles, my house, and both of my backhoes. I bought a pair of noise canceling headphones to plug into the Sansa, or plug my vehicle's hifi into it, and I am set up in music lover's heaven. THANK YOU SANDISK! By the way, screw Ipod. Rating: Date: 2008-07-05 great sansa mp3player I really love how small this is and the quality of the headphones is amazing. The best part is that only the headphones could cost the $25 i payed for it. They amplify sound to the best quality i have ever heard from the headphones. |
