Amazon.com Product Description: Lightweight and secure enough for vigorous active use, the MDR-J10 headphones--part of Sony's h.ear line--feature a comfortable, vertical, in-ear form, a clip-on fit that follows the contour of your ears, and a stable, non-slip design built to withstand exercising, skating, dancing, or other sports. The MDR-J10 earcups use an open-air design that lets you hear ambient sound. This ability to hear outside noises is a safety issues as much as a quality of sound issue. With these headphones, you can keep track of car horns, passing bicyclists and barking dogs. These headphones have 13.5 mm driver units; while small enough to place comfortably inside the ear, they are also powerful units producing a nice bass sound. Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The MDR-J10's clip-on design is hair-friendly and keeps the size of the headphones small. Their tangle-free storage cord is adjustable, making for easy storage in a backpack, briefcase or purse. The headphones come with a 3.5-foot cord, and their L-shaped plug is tailor-made for active use and won't bend and break like an upright plug might. What's in the Box Sony MDR-J10 headphones Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-03 Nice while it worked These headphones worked fine for 12 months before the left side stopped working. The earhook design was comfortable and felt secure. I used them whenever I exercised, and they always stayed in place. The sound quality was decent, and they were able to cancel out some of the surrounding noise. It's a good buy if you're looking for something inexpensive and temporary. Rating: Date: 2008-06-25 You get what you pay for, unfortunately I've seen others on this site who've experienced the same 'failing after 3 months' diagnosis as I have. At first I wondered if I was treating them roughly (I bike with them and sometimes stuff them away in a spare pocket) but it seems that they're simply cheaply made. They might be a worthy investment if you decide to splurge on a case to protect them, but otherwise I would say upgrade to a more pricey alternative. Rating: Date: 2008-06-25 Great sound - great price I use these headphones with my LG Muziq cellphone. The sound is very nice. Good enough for me. They stay in my ears compared with some of the plug in the ear types. I usually wear these while I am washing the car or doing yard work so I need something that stays put.
I am very happy with the sound of these. Great Price too. Rating: Date: 2008-06-11 GREAT BUDGET PRODUCT DONT EXPECT GREAT BASE CANT BEAT THE PRICE OR PERFORMANCE, STAYS IN THE EAR AND NEVER FALLS OUT. HOWEVER AFTER INTENSE RUNNING OR SWEATING THE DO NOT FIT SNUG AND YOU LOOSE BASS, OTHERWISE SOUND AND PERFORMANCE IS GREAT Rating: Date: 2008-06-06 You'll forget you have them on! They are confortable, no water in your ears and clear sound.
Good audio quality and you can hear a bike rider aproaching you and saying "on your left".
They are good for sports, probably not for someone looking for hi-fi sound.
