Nothing New Here
McDonald paves no new ground with this release. Voice is still strong, but the songs are mediocre at best and the arrangements are just that, mediocre. Hope he can move on in his career.

It is what you'd expect
If you loved Michael McDonalds's Motown and Motown II CDs, you'll enjoy this one. It is exactly what you'd expect for his third album. The good part is that there are no surprises; the bad part is that there are no surprises. I really like this album, but I do wish that he'd stretch a little bit given that the first two CDs sound the same.

Michael McDonald rocks my boat. His voice is so rich and he does awesome justice to these classic R&B songs. He is at the top of the blue-eyed soul artists. As a 50 year-old "sister" I hope he succeeds in bringing this genre to the young folk. They don't know what they are missing.

What can I say, but, I just love this man ! What a wonderful cover of "Into the Mystic" and "You Don't Know Me" ! He just melts your heart !
