Stamina Electronic Mini-Stepper Product Description: The Stamina Electronic Mini-stepper will get you on the road to good health and fitness. Stair climbing continues to be one of the most well known and beneficial exercises because it exercises and tones the largest muscles in the body (buttocks, hips, and thighs), plus it's a great fat-burning workout. It's also a great cardiovascular exercise. This stepper has a small, compact design that makes it perfect for home or office. The sturdy steel construction is durable, and this stepper features a counter and timer display. About Stair Steppers Stair steppers continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same benefits as running stairs, but with the "any time, in any weather, without having to leave the comfort and safety of your home" added convenience. Stair steppers don't take up much space, require moderate balance and coordination, and can provide an effective work-out for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. Following on the heels of treadmills and exercise bikes, stair steppers took their first step towards fitness machine success in the early 1980s. Like most exercise equipment, stair steppers have come a long way technically speaking. Advanced computers on most newer models allow users to track their vitals at a glance. However, the most important benefits of stair steppers are still the basic ways they provide excellent cardiovascular workouts that get the heart pounding, along with the impact the exercise has on muscle tone in the legs, thighs and buttocks. Stair steppers continue to offer an exercise that is less jarring than treadmills, but more intense than elliptical trainers.
Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 Works very well It works very well so far. I've only had it a month. I weigh about 120 so I have to get it going, but it's a good workout. I used it watching TV. Rating: Date: 2008-07-05 A. Kim This stepper is good to have around if you want to do quick cardiovascular exercise.
Setting up was easy and straightforward. Like the other reviewers have noted mine squeal too. You will feel initially heavy resistance when you start stepping but that will ease as the machine get warmed up which is good thing because you cannot adjust tension on this stepper.
I feel this stepper is good to have around for people who want to do some exercise (which is better than being a couch potato) or spend more money on gym. If it breaks then I'll just order another one but I doubt it. After several months of daily use it is still going strong. :)
Rating: Date: 2008-06-23 Hey, its pretty good, eh It feels quite sturdy and safe and I am using the thing. I would suggest it as an item to add variety to your aerobic exercise, not as your only aerobic activity. I has started squeaking a bit after a month's use. It comes and goes. It can probably be lubricated but I have been too lazy to try that yet. Happy stepping. Rating: Date: 2008-06-15 Small footprint....great price This unit takes almost no space and yet provides an adequate cardo workout for me. Granted, I'm not training for the Ironman competition; But for the "average Joe" it serves well! Rating: Date: 2008-04-28 Broken after not quite a year Although the stepper is a little noisy, it worked fine until the metal cross bar that provides tension for the pedals broke.
It's an inexpensive product, and you get what you pay for. |
