Streamlight Stylus Penlight
For my needs it works great and the quality of the light is very nice and the light stream is adjustable. I wanted something that I could keep handy in my purse for use in dimly lit restaurants.

PERFECT
I work in an industrial environment and this little light holds up better than most. With it's compact size it fits well in my shirt pocket. it stands up to 100°F+ with it's metal frame so I don't need to worry about it melting if I set it on a hot surface (although the batteries don't like it I'm sure). I lost one a while back and loved it enough to purchase another. You won't be disappointed with this little guy.

What a Fellow Needs in His Purse
Awhile ago, I asked my long-suffering wife to once again hand me my sunglasses from her purse. She looked at me and asked: "Why don't you get your own purse?" So I did. I now carry a bulletproof canvas shoulder bag (purse) made by the Duluth Pack Company. It holds the usual stuff: PDA/cell phone, wallet, keys, business cards, and Swiss Army knife. It also holds my amazingly durable and efficient Streamlight Stylus penlight. Three observations. First, I've never had anyone question my masculinity as I've carried the purse. Second, I can't imagine handling the above-mentioned artifacts of modern civilization without my purse. Third, I can't imagine not having the Streamlight Stylus in my purse when the chips are down and darkness is falling. This is a bright, long lasting, and virtually indestructible tool that has helped me and others in many dimly-lit situations. Try one...I think you'll like it!

hey you docs & vets..
..using a white LED to perform ocular exams: YOU IDIOT NITWITS! How did you folks get through med school?! Remember "primum non nocere"? High frequency LEDs are damaging to the retina. That's why there's a warning on the packaging. FYI.

Handy Light
I own several Streamlight Stylus penlights, the standard penlight type and the one with a flexible head. They all have a narrow, but powerful beam. They are well constucted (aluminum bodies) and have a momentary switch that can be screwed in for a continuous beam. The standard Stylus is slightly longer and heavier than the average pen, but can be easily carried in a shirt pocket with the supplied pocket clip. The major down side are the 3 AAAA batteries required to power this unit. They can be hard to find and are slightly more expensive than their AAA counterparts. On the positive side, I find myslf using the Stylus more than my larger more powerful flashlights, simply because it's handy size means I can carry one more often.
