Cute, but they are more suited for an older child
I bought these for my 14 month old son. They look darling in person and seem to be well-padded. He didn't even have them on long, however, before his feet started to appear pinkish, especially around the top of the sandal. I had to take them off and carry him, as I didn't want to allow them to damage his skin. They fit him properly, so it wasn't a sizing issue. I don't feel they are healthy for soft, chubby, little feet. Rating:

Great Sandals
I bought these sandals for my 7 year old son. He LOVES them. I love them because these sandals protect his little toes. My son wore these sandals on vacation and not once did he complain that his feet hurt! I will def be getting a couple more pair for the coming years!! Rating:

Not really XW
I bought these shoes after going to the stride rite website and printing off the shoe size chart (just to make sure I was getting the right size for my son in case his feet had changed - they hadn't.). When they arrived, just by looking at them, I could tell they weren't going to work. They didn't even come close to the width or length of our other stride rite shoes in the same size and width. Don't know if I got a funky pair, or if they just screwed these shoes up bad, but I'm trying a different model and hoping that I can still find sandles for my son that are wide enough. Rating:

I would say that these are not Stride Rite...
This seems not to be a Stride Rite shoe, although in fact it is. I have switched from ECCO to Stride Rite XW since I found out that my son has extremely wide feet. The first models of Stride Rite Toddler Tech I purchased were of equal ergonomics and overall quality than ECCO. In other words, the load of body's weight should be applied to certain sectors of the sole, so that the whole body stands upright correctly after some time of use. These ANGLER however, do not have that ergonomic design characteristic of ECCO and best versions of Stride Rite. Additionally, the ''XW'' version of these ANGLER looks rather like a ''W''. The ANGLER looks like no different as the whole of Chinese shoes on the market, but worth as a Stride Rite. Never again for me!

Stride-Rite, a Great Shoe
Typically you can't go wrong with Stride-Rite shoes for Toddlers.
This shoe is great because quality, as usual, is above average. Along with leather upper there is solid traction rubber soles making them more than a flimsy sandal. Velcro straps too for easy on and off.
Another reason I chose this particular sandal for a second time is because unlike most sandals chosen for hot summer days these actually protect little toes while climbing, running, skipping, tripping, and sometimes falling. |
