tide he 2x concentrated liquid detergent, original scent, 64 load bottle (pack of 4)

This stuff was EXTREMELY CAUSTIC to me
I bought some of this 2x stuff for the first time and it spilled in the back of my van and I had to clean it out with a garden hose. I of course got residue all over me.

I broke out in nearly a full body rash, anywhere the stuff touched and it touched most of my body by either soaking into my clothes or via where I touched myself with my hands. I went to the emergency room for the rash that came on so quickly as I have never had an allergic rash in my life. Their treatment didn't work and a week later still suffering I ended up at the reg dr who gave me heavy steroids. That worked to stop the reaction and the rash settled into what now looks like chemical burns over most of my body, the skin has dried extremely and is now cracking over large parts of my body which hurts all over. I am now on antibiotic/pain killer spray followed by lotions to help repair the skin and hopefully keep it from scarring.

What is odd is I am not an allergic person generally and I have used the former versions of Tide for most of my life without issues of any kind, even when I got the undiluted product on me.

When cleaning the van I used some clothes the kids left in the van to mop up some of the soap. These I threw into the washer when I was done cleaning. A week after I got the reaction to stop I wore the pair of pants I had been wearing that day to clean the van (now washed with the clothes that had mopped up the van). It was a hot day and I was sweating behind my knees. Later that evening I rashed up right behind my knees horribly where the pants had touched my sweaty skin, but since I knew what it was and I was on medication already, I was able to minimize damage. It has now gone into a chemical looking burn like the rest.

I dont' think I'll ever use Tide again, I have been living in near hell for several weeks now just because I trusted their product.

Let's hear it for Tide
I'm not sure if I will continue to purchase this item via Amazon. The original order arrived with one of the caps so loose that a good portion of the contents of one bottle leaked out. What a mess! I called Amazon and they were VERY helpful and courteous. A replacement was sent right away. Unfotunately the replacement order arrived even more "gunky" then the original. Amazon shipping needs to make sure that the caps are on securely and that the bottles are separated from each other. This would help immensely. Also, the price of this item can usually be found cheaper at your local grocery store. But, you can't beat the cleaning power of Tide.

Great product but won't buy from Amazon at this price
Hey Amazon, are you listening? The detergent is excellent. I have used Tide for years and they also rate high on Consumer Reports for front loaders. I won't buy it here at that price. As other reviewers have commented, it is way overpriced on Amazon. I can get it a lot cheaper at Walmart or even my local supermarket. Amazon pricing is great on a lot of items. They really missed the boat on this one.

Good Product, But Too Expensive From Amazon
You can buy this for as little as $10.00 per bottle if you shop around. Walmart and Kmart had it much cheaper than Amazon, which works out to over $15 per bottle. Way too expensive to buy here.

TOO Expensive!!
I can buy this locally at the grocery store for $12/bottle. Amazon's price works out to be $17/bottle!!
