well worth it.
I bought two of these, one for my son (3 yrs) and one for his friends birthday. They both loved it. It is durable,colorful and engaging. My son was engrossed in it till he figured out how to attach the gears when the whole thing is in motion. My piece was a little faulty in that the battery compartment door if closed will not work, i had to keep the battery compartment door open and the battery pulled a little out
( a loose connection problem ). My son loved the toy. Rating:

Gear up for Fun
I bought this as a gift for a 2 year old, because my 20 month old daughter loves this toy. She played with it all the time with her friend, a 23 month old boy. It's fun and educational for the kids to play with this toy because they have to figure out how the gears go together to run. Not only is this toy fun for kids, but adults often end up playing with it too. This is a great toy for kids and parents to enjoy together. Rating:

Great toy for a mechanical kid
This toy is great for my 2 year old. He loves to connect the gears and watch it go around. We searched all over locally for this and could only find it online, well worth paying the freight! It keeps him happy for a long time :) Rating:

Best toy for little ones
It was my son's favorite toy from age one to six. Great for coordination. I bought an amuzement park too. We bought him Snap Circuit when he was six and he finally stopped playing with gears, but still couldn't give it away. He was sitting on it, stepping on it, but it kept working. Great toy! All our older kids played with it too. Rating:

The Favorite Toy!
We received this as a gift when my son was 3, he LOVED it. He took it to preschool for show and tell and all the kids wanted one.
The gears are really easy to move and manipulate. My son loved the fact that you can change directions or make it go faster/slower. He would rearrange the gears and then sit and just watch them.
It is great for spatial skills, you have to be able to line up the gears with the opposing gears to make them connect and spin. It allows you the opportunity to discuss magnetics as well.
Great toy! It fell out of favor around age 5 though (thankfully his 2yo old sister now enjoys it). So I would say it is best for ages almost 3-5. |
