Product Description: Vibrant triangles to twist back and forth. For grasping, clutching, teething - Haba Trix is fun for play & non-toxic for babies, something pretty for everyone else. Haba wooden toys are made off primarily European maple and beech wood, the quality & durability of Haba toys is remarkable. Heirloom toys that are brilliant, unmistakably refined. Editorial Review: Six bright triangles are linked together with a strong, stretchy string. Baby can twist and turn this rainbow of tiny triangles into a ring that looks like a flower petal or a pyramid, or baby can simply chew on them. They are made of smooth wood and finished with nontoxic, long-lasting materials that guarantee a long life for the toy. And the toy also makes a soft rattle when it's shaken. --Sally James Customer Reviews: Rating: Date: 2008-04-28 Fun toy - for grown-ups too My 4.5 month old baby hasn't quite figured out how to twist the triangles ont his toy just yet to be able to more easily put them into her mouth. But I love playing with this, especially in traffic, as a stress reliever. I'm sure the baby will like this once she's a bit older and teething. Rating: Date: 2008-04-18 Fun for the Whole Family This is a lovely wooden alternative to those rubber Vegas-style musical rattle teething rings (which we also have, but which bug the heck out of me). The triangles can be manipulated on the elastic, but there is just enough resistance so it's very satisfying to turn them this way and that. It does not occupy my toddler as long as things that make more noise, but she does like to make it into a bracelet and chew on it. It is one of those toys that seems to interest adults as well.
The paint is stained on there and unlike the paint on some other wooden toys she has, it has not chipped despite her attempts to bang it on the hardest surfaces indoors and out.
It seemed expensive for the size, but I would buy it again. Rating: Date: 2008-04-09 Simple yet enjoyable - best of all, NOT PLASTIC The best part about this toy is that it takes no batteries and makes no noise. That's such a rarity with baby toys these days. The second best part is that it's made of wood, not plastic. I'm so tired of plastic.
I bought this for my 10-month old and he likes it a lot, both as a teether and as a motor skills toy. The elastic band used to keep the parts together is very strong and has endured a lot of hard use from me (I mess with this toy when I see it and I'm very hard on toys). Its colors are bright and friendly and it can make all kinds of neat designs, which also interests my 4-year old.
The simplicity of this toy is one of its biggest appeals. Highly recommended. Rating: Date: 2008-04-04 Intro to the World of Haba We have been scared by all the recalls, pvc, bpa and all sorts of stuff we can't pronounce. I had never seen a Haba product until I had order them and they arrived. I can't believe how awesome this toy is. It look so simple and unassuming but it can be manipulated by my 7 month old daughter with such joy and interest!
-The colors are so very rich yet you can still see the wood grain.
-It is a quiet toy- except when dropped :-P
-When closed it is exactly the size of my palm, it 'opens' out bigger.
-No odd ball plastics, fad chemicals, or batteries- it's so safe for her to chop on
Big brother will sit and flip the triangles around in a sort of it-must-be-magic fascination. I wish I had know about this company before, but now that I do I just ordered some for a pregnant friend.
These Haba toys seems so simple but don't underestimate the true value of these toys. I was shocked and immediately taken in and so was my little girl. We now will box up all our plastics and make the investment in these wonderful toys which we will be able to pass down to the next baby. Rating: Date: 2008-02-14 small, simple, and fun This toy is safe and entertaining. The toy is basically six brightly colored triangles that rotate on a string, simple and easy for babies to manipulate into various shapes. It is a little small, though, so don't be surprised when it arrives. It is a baby sized toy, perfect for little hands, about 3" across. It slides easily into a diaper bag or a pocket, so dads who don't like to take a lot can grab this and go. Even older kids will like this for a little while, as the movable triangles keep hands occupied. This was the first of the Haba toys I purchased (along with Rattling Caterpillar, also sooo cute), and I will definitely be getting more. The quality made the purchase price worth it. That and the fact that my little one likes it as much as I do. |
