In this case, uncharted is one awesome videogame. It's like watching a Indiana Jones movie. The story is fresh and gets you hooked. The gameplay is fun as well; mixes the best elements of Tomb Raider and Gears of War. Graphics is awesome...there are parts where I thought I was watching National Geographic in real life. Just buy it! Rating: Date: 2008-07-08 Great game, WAY TOO SHORT! Really like the game - scenery is awesome, graphics are good of course, plot is great.
But my husband and I (and I suck at shooting) beat it in TWO EVENINGS. I'm sorry, but less than 20 hours of game play for $40? That's WAAAYY too short!
It's about 80% shooting, and 20% adventure/strategy. At times, it has a Price of Persia feel to it (I LOVE THAT GAME - BEST ever for strategy!) but not enough puzzles/riddles - there's people to shoot around every corner.
It is a fun game though - it would be a better one to rent. You'll beat it pretty quick. My husband and I aren't "gamers" by any means - I would rate us as about intermediate players. We do play regularly, but there's no reason for us to be done with the game in less than 48 hours. Rating: Date: 2008-07-07 Entertaining and addictive game I borrowed this game from a friend and highly recommend it. It's like a blend of the popular Myst games with more shooting and violence. They are also always giving you hints along the way to keep you from becoming stuck in one area and becoming bored with it.
The game started out a little slow and I thought I wouldn't be interested. But the more I play, the more I have come to like it. It's also much longer than I thought it would be. Everyone kept saying how short it seemed, but for the average player like me that has maybe 30-45 minutes a night to devote to video games I am still playing it after about 2 weeks. People saying it's so short must have no life and play for hours at a time. I'm not quite finished, but so far it has been great and the best game for PS3 so far. So much for "GTA IV" which I bought because of all the hype surrounding it. "Uncharted" will definitely keep your attention. Rating: Date: 2008-07-06 solid throughout loved the game start to finish. definitely gets better as you go through the game. very surprised at how good it was
