I bought this fan for my mom and she loves it! It's immensely powerful for such a small fan. Very good product.

Good while it lasted....Warranty is worthless
This fan seemed great at first--it was quiet and powerful. After about 2 weeks of use, it started making a rattling sound on the higher speeds. After 2 years of occasional use, it stopped working altogether yesterday. Even though it is technically under warranty still, the warranty is not worth anything. To get it repaired, you have to not only pay to ship it back to Vornado, but they make you include a check for $20 for return shipping & handling. Plus, they say it will take 3-5 weeks to repair. Considering we got the fan for $31, it is not at all worth it to act on the warranty. Maybe ours was just defective...

Nice & Quiet Fan For The Home Office.....
Recently purchased this fan as our previous fan finally broke after years of use!!

I was looking for a small, quiet, desktop fan for our home office, which would nicely circulate the air. The Vornado 530B 3 Speed Compact Air Circulator certainly fits the bill and the price is great.

I also love how quiet this fan is when it is turned on. The last think I want to hear is a noisy fan while I am busy working on the computer. I don't even notice it while it is running and often forget it is on because it is so quiet!!

Great little fan
This vornado fan is excellent for the money. I needed one for my room because in the summer it gets close to 80F and I have trouble sleeping at night. Even in the spring it gets in the upper 70s and stays there. Well I recently purchased this fan, and let me tell you it works great! On the low power, I can feel the breeze it creates 6 feet away. When pointed at the ceiling or wall as suggested, it creates a nice, gentle breeze throughout the room. On the low power it is very quiet, and even on high it is not too bad. Actually, most of the noise it makes comes from the actual movement of the air and not the motor itself. For $35, it is well worth every penny.

Vornado fan not "whisper quiet."
My fan is not whisper quiet. It is quite noisy. I bought it for my office (I'm a psychologist). It makes too much noise, I brought it home and am using it here.
