This toy is wonderful for younger children. The online Webkinz World has many educational games that encourages kids to learn math, use problem solving skills, and improve memory. And best of all, it's fun, so your kids will love to play with it. I would recommend this product to any parent with a preschool-3rd grader, however the older kids might not appreciate it as much : ) Rating:

So close and yet so far...
In my household, this would make webkins animal number 5 and webkins computer support failure number 2. The plush toys themselves are adorable and seem durable enough in all cases so 5 stars there I guess. However, one doesn't just purchase the toy but also an online account wherein one "plays" with the virtual pet. While my wife entered the activation code, the webkins server had a glitch and didn't activate the account. However, when we tried again, it apparently had recorded that the code had already been used. Therefore, the virtual pet cannot be "created" and we now have an overpriced stuffed animal. Webkins has terrible customer support and are totally non-responsive despite appearing to have a customer support link on their site. As I said earlier, this is the second time that the fickle webkins site and rules have burned us. So if 3 out of 5 ain't bad in your world...go for it. For the 3 that do work, the webkins world and games are fun and pretty educational (hence wanting more). Rating:

Cute cat with character
I gave this cat to my granddaughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it ... even more than other more expensive toys. Although the cat's head is sort of twisted to one side, she said it shows the cat has character. I believe most children would love this plush, soft, cute stuffed cat. Rating:

No website availability for new members
My daughter has been so excited, hoping that Santa would bring her a few webkinz, because she has heard so much about playing with them on the webkinz website. Santa was kind enough to leave three Christmas morning.However, GANZ/WEBKINZ was not nice enough to provide a working website, Christmas morning, or the 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st and counting. I have tried to get some response from the company regarding this problem, but there is no link to an actual customer service email address on the webkinz site, unless you are REGISTERED! The address on the GANZ site gets NO response whatsoever. YOu may notice that the one part of my review I rated above 1 star was durablilty. It's quite simple- if it don't work, children don't play with it. Looks like, at this rate, my daughter''s webkinz will last forever ! Now, that's what I call durability ! The Better Business Bureau list this company as unsatisfactory, now you know why ! |
