Booo amazon Rating: Date: 2008-06-19 Damn good jerky I have searched high and low for the best tasting beef jerky. I,ve tried them all.I think World Kitchen's Brown Sugar flavored Jerky is by far the best I have ever had. Rating: Date: 2008-05-13 Price is Right, tastes too sweet A giant bag for a tiny price. Can't beat that right? I just suggest you go for their other flavors. Their original is sweet enough, biting into this brown sugar bag is like eating meat candy. Rating: Date: 2008-04-14 a good quality jerky World's Kitchen was fairly new to me. I bought it online because it looked cheap in bulk and I'm a broke grad student.
You see, I eat lots of protein. I'm fairly active, I do chins/pushups/situps about 5 times weekly and run about 20+ miles weekly. My body loves protein; it craves it. Milk, nuts, eggs...whatever I can get my hands on. I don't do those protein-shake-thingys. Cavemen back in the day didn't hunt down a protein shake, they ate MEAT.
Thus, we have jerky. This is a good quality jerky for mobile consumption. It is chewy but not wet/greasy soft like some get. You can down it quick or chomp on it a while (I like to hold it in my cheek and slowly get the flavors). There is some grain-like jerky dust towards the end but I rarely encounter brands that don't suffer from this detriment. I eat that stuff anyways, and I will say unlike other brands it doesn't taste different from a larger piece (more salty, more chemically, more gross).
The brown sugar flavor is my personal preference - kind of sweet. It comes in 1 pound bags which is awesome. You ever go to the store and see like 3.5/4 ounce bags for six bucks? Puh-leaze. This bag takes a while to finish, and comes in at a fairly inexpensive price.
Side note: I've tried the blue package (original I think) from the store and I didn't like the flavor. You live you learn. Rating: Date: 2008-04-07 Good Jerky This flavor is a little too sweet for my taste, but not bad.
World Kitchen's does make the best jerky available on Amazon that I have found. |
